ZUZU SAYS:
It's been an amazing year of new projects.
My spoken word video BYSTANDING, which I shot
last August is traveling festivals. I directed
music videos for the band Seriously and R&B
singer Erik Carlson. And in May I directed
the second in my shorts trilogy of collaborations
with other Asian American Female Artists.
This time I worked with Filipina American
percussionist Susie Ibarra and her husband
Roberto Rodriguez of Electric Kulintang.
FESTIVAL
NEWS: BYSTANDING is tearing it up
in NYC!! It had it's NY premiere at the Media
tha Matters festival where it won the War
& Peace Award sponsored by Netflix. June
14 it was at the H20 Hip Hop Odessey, 6/22-23
at the Urbanworld VIBE Film Festival where
it won Honorable Mention in the Narrative
Shorts category, and at the end of July it
will be at Asian Cinevision Film Festival.
